has announced that it will now provide contactless service to customers in India. For this, the company has introduced 'live video support' that will be extended for users who will have queries related to smart TVs, robot vacuum cleaners, and smart water purifiers. This will help customers get a resolution of the problems without having to visit any service centres.
How to avail Xiaomi’s live video support

  • In order to avail the video service, Xiaomi and Redmi product users can register a request on the Xiaomi India online portal.
  • After they register a request, a tech support expert will call the customer on their phone to understand the issue. The expert will then provide a link for a video call.
  • The expert will then see the customer's device and will help them to fix the appliance.
  • If the issue remains unresolved, an engineer will be sent free of charge for a product under warranty.

Other customer service offerings
Xiaomi provides customer services in 11 languages, including English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Bengali, and Gujarati, among others. The services can be availed in these languages on voice, email, and chat.
There is also a 24x7 AI Bot service which is offered in both Hindi and English. Xiaomi says that more language support will be added to this service soon. The company says that the Bot “is trained to be able to assist pre-sale support, order-related assistance along with technical support across product line-ups.”
Xiaomi and Redmi customers can also book repairs, installation, demos, locate the nearest service centre, and check service request status, among other things on the Xiaomi Service+ app. The app also provides the price of spare parts as well as view the warranty information of their purchased devices.
