Microsoft

has announced the dates for

Build 2022

. The tech giant's annual event focused on developers will take at the end of May 2022. The three-day event will commence on May 24 and will continue till May 26. The official

Build

website confirms that there is no fee for attending the event as it will take place virtually. The registrations for this all-digital event will begin in late April.
This event will mostly focus on Azure, Microsoft 365,

Visual Studio

, and other tools for developers. It will also feature content for specific markets that include -- the UK, Japan, and

Latin America

for the first time this year.
This is the first Build event since Windows 11 was released so we may hear more about the latest Windows OS in the event. However, this event typically doesn’t focus on new Windows features. Microsoft is yet to officially announce the full session schedule of the event.
According to XDA Developers, the structure of the event is expected to be almost similar to previous years. The event is likely to initiate with a keynote from Microsoft CEO

Satya Nadella

which will be followed by a number of technical sessions that will discuss the details of various new features for developers on Microsoft’s platforms like -- Windows, Edge, Azure among others.
If you wanted to physically attend this event, you would have typically had to pay around $2,500 (roughly Rs 1,90,000). Fortunately, this is going to be a free all-digital event and attendees only need to register themselves before the last registration date.
As we all know, Google’s I/O 2022 event, which will be held earlier in May will also be a virtual-only event for most people. Google and some partners of the company will be the only ones attending the event physically.
Microsoft will host another event that will announce Windows 11 features for hybrid work. This event is scheduled to be held on April 5.
