Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

has earned over $1 billion in revenue,

Ubisoft

boss Yves Guillemot told investors, as per a report by Axios Gaming. This makes

Assassin

’s Creed Valhalla the first game in the franchise ever to cross the $1 billion revenue mark.
As per the report, the Viking-themed game crossed the $1 billion milestone in December 2021. The game has received substantial updates post launch, which seems to have bolstered the sales also, considering the new content in the season pass included new storylines with new maps to explore. Ubisoft also added seasonal updates and new game modes to Valhalla. For better immersion into the game, the video game maker also brought new armour, weapons, mounts, ship skins and cosmetic items.
The game then got the free Odyssey and Valhalla crossover DLC that came out just before Christmas. And the post-launch content is only going to get bigger and better with Dawn of Ragnarök, a new DLC, which is scheduled for release in March. Plus, a new game mode is also going to be added as a part of free game updates this year, as per a report by Eurogamer.
Ubisoft is also working on a new Assassin’s Creed game. Codenamed “Infinity”, it is going to be an online service-based game. The Assassin’s Creed games have been standalone titles, with a focus on a different period of history with each title. But Infinity would be different, as per a report by Bloomberg. The report says that the game may feature multiple connected settings that could look and play differently and that more of them could be added over time.
